8M, founded by Ashish Manchharam in 2014, was born out of a passion for the rejuvenation and reintegration of Singapore’s iconic shophouses into the evolving Singapore cityscape. His vision; to breathe life back into these heritage gems and their neighbourhoods. Our first project, 112-116 Amoy Street (now lovingly termed ‘Amoy Alley’) and our first Tenant, Luke’s Oyster Bar & Chophouse.

Over the past 6 years the company has seen rapid growth, gaining significant expertise in the shophouse sector, and today we own an impressive portfolio of conservation properties.
We continue to create lifestyle destinations with sustainable drive through the re-adaption of existing real estate with purposeful design and best-in-class partnerships.
And proud to say we have contributed to the reinvigoration of areas including Keong Saik Road, Gemmill Lane, Amoy Street, Ann Siang Road and Tanjong Pagar Road – today bustling F&B hubs featuring notable independent establishments such as Luke’s Oyster Bar & Chophouse, Employees Only, Nineteen80, Olivia, The Guild, and many more.
In 2016 we ventured into ‘hospitality’ with the opening of BASE Residences. This new business pursuit quickly expanded, and in 2018 8M Collective was born; the umbrella brand and management company of the rapidly expanding vertical. The current portfolio comprises of KēSa House (55 Keong Saik Rd), Ann Siang House (28 Ann Siang Rd), Base Residences (31 Hong Kong St & 5 Gemmill Lane) Wanderlust (2 Dickson Rd) and further exciting projects to be unveiled in 2020/21.
